Finally, after a long snowy Winter, Spring has finally taken hold here in Hendersonville, NC. Sheeesh, I though this Winter would NEVER get gone. But if you'll take a look at the picture to the right, you'll have to agree there's no denying that the beautiful weather we are known for here in Western NC is here to stay for a while!
And with the arrival of Spring come all of those activities we are typically denied during the colder months: hiking, fishing, geocaching (see the geocaching article and or video I was recently featured in on this subject), and biking. In addition to all the outdorsy things this time of the year encourages, there are also other interesting events and places to see that make escaping to Hendersonville a great way to spend a few days. The gardens at the Biltmore Estate are in full bloom. Lee Griffin at the Rockhouse Vineyards Winery has some new wines for you to taste, and The State Theater of North Carolina in Flat Rock begins it's production of Steel Magnolias with a fabulous cast from April 29-May 23.
No matter what your excuse (that's if you really need one), it's a perfect time to shrug off some of that Winter lethargy and get active again! Come on up and stay with us here at The Waverly Inn. We'll welcome you like family, give you a great nights rest, feed you a superbly prepared and cooked to your order breakfast, help you with suggestions for your day, and then be here at our evening Social Hour so you can share the adventures of your day!
Great town, lovely inn, wonderful food, beautiful area, and exceptional hospitality! All great reasons to come visit Western North Carolina.
