Eclipsed- On August 21st The Full Eclipse Passes Through North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains

The Waverly Inn was just two years old the last time we experienced a total eclipse in North Carolina in the year 1900.  Now 117 years later much of the North Carolina mountains will be in the path of totality of the upcoming “Great American Eclipse”.  Here in Hendersonville we will be just on the outside of the path of totality but only 15 minutes from prime viewing spots.

You can see 99.8% of the eclipse here in Hendersonville.  The Henderson County Library will be hosting Solar Eclipse Day here.  For a longer eclipse experience head next door to Transylvania County.   The Brevard Music Center, www.brevardmusic.org and Gorges State Park, ncparks.gov/gorges-state-park in Sapphire will both be holding events.

As of August 3rd, we are sold out for Sunday night, August 20th prior to the eclipse but still has a few rooms available on Monday night, August 21st.  Come and visit for a once in a lifetime experience!
